A roadmap for using data to advance health outcomes
BCBSA recently co-hosted the fourth Health IT Leadership Roundtable, Vision for the Future of Health IT, which brought together diverse stakeholders across the various health care sectors, including patients, consumers, clinicians, hospitals, health plans, technology companies and policymakers. The discussion centered on how the health care community together can harness data and health IT infrastructure to improve health equity and modernize our public health system by improving interoperable data access and standardization.
The COVID-19 pandemic renewed attention to the longstanding inequities faced by communities of color and other vulnerable populations that have for too long experienced the health care system differently. A white paper released following the discussion and outlines key takeaways and recommendations.
- Using technology to transform patient care
- Virtual care is transforming care delivery through technology
- Accelerated by coronavirus, is the surge in virtual care here to stay?
